This guide can help! If you know enough to be dangerous when tuning your carb, but not enough to get it right, you need to read this! You will need to know the basics about how to work on your Holley, and a book or two will really help a bunch, because of the pictures and part numbers in them. This guide goes farther than the commercially available books in that it helps you determine when your carb is rich and when it is lean. This amount may be all you have to spend, depending on what tools and instruments you have in your garage right now. Some of the instrumentation can be borrowed from a friend. This guide outlines exactly what you will need and lists part numbers for those pieces that are not normal in a well-equipped garage.

But Congress has rejected just about every attempted gun safety measure since then— more than all totaled, although many are duplicative —and passage is even less likely following the mass shooting in Las Vegas. Dozens of amendments and bills have been introduced since a lone gunman walked into Sandy Hook and shot 20 children and six staff members. Because the House of Representatives has been under Republican control since Sandy Hook, few measures were proposed in that body, and none cleared committee.
Most of the real action happened in the Senate, which Democrats controlled until January

A couple of ‘gator’ trout caught in La. Source Understanding Speckled Trout Habitat and Feeding Habits Spotted seatrout, or speckled trout, are silver in color with many dark spots running along it’s back. They are also slightly humpbacked in appearance. Similar in appearance to weakfish or ‘silver’ trout, the two species are easily differentiated by the row of dark spots along the back, which is absent from the silver trout.
Size Most trout caught are 2 lbs or less, though there are plenty of fish caught in the lb range. Fish larger than 8 lbs considered ‘gators’ and the world record is 17 lbs 7oz.

Six and a half minutes into the contest, amid claims Meath were bullied around Croke Park in the drawn game, Gerry clashed with Niall Cahalane and was red carded. That Meath beat a brilliant Cork team with 14 men for most of that game was overshadowed by events of the following days and months as the back-to-back All-Ireland winners were demonised for apparent roughhouse tactics.
Two months later, Dowling arrived in Meath to hand out the medals but midfield general Gerry and Liam Harnan refused to get up on stage.
Feb 18, · Hook-up means different things in different parts of the world. When I think hook up I think kissing someone you met that evening/day/whatever. I know people that preserve the term for sex after said meeting.

Large Redfish Caught off Virginia Red drum can easily exceed 40lbs or more. Red fish will readily take a variety of live baits. Croakers, menhaden, spot, pinfish, mullet and small scaled sardines are all good choices for redfish. Many red drum are caught each year on live shrimp, crabs, and blood worms as well. Live bait is fished either free-lined, under a popping cork, or on a slip-lead rig.
A popping cork is the preferred method in shallow water with low visibility or at night.
Dating in Cork can be a lot cheaper than in Dublin, but hooking up for casual sex is still far less likely to blow a hole in your pocket. Apart from the night itself being cheaper, you’ll bypass all the outside expenses that come with relationships.
Posted on December 26, No Comments Hook tenders, or hook keepers, tend to be a dime a dozen; well, perhaps a dime apiece back in the day when our coinage was silver. Generally, they are an inexpensive piece of bent wire or, at their fanciest, a thin saddle of bent sheet metal securing a loose ring. Hook Tenders are usually nothing rodmakers get excited about and, depending on which opinionated rodmaker you speak with, either a sine qua non — or a blasted pestilence — upon the rod.
Personally, I prefer a rod with a hook tender. If you, the rodmaker, put a hook tender on a rod, anglers will use it. If an angler hooks the grip regularly, the cork will tear out. If an angler hooks a guide, the varnish around the guide will scar, quite possibly damaging the guide wrap. When it comes to fine hook tenders, I believe the feet are critical, to both the look and the function.
It simply does not matter if you have the tastiest of carp cuisine, or the finest rods, reels or every other piece of paraphernalia known to the carp world unless you have a properly tied hook rig. However my advice to anyone one just starting out in carp fishing would be to start with the most simple hair rig and play about with different hair and hook lengths.
The lessons learned will be invaluable and will help as you move on to try more complex rigs. This most basic set up is devastatingly effective for free lining hook baits such as naturals crayfish, worms etc particles such as sweetcorn or a piece of bread. As simple as this rig happens to be it also highlights two of the most important elements in creating ANY of the more complex arrangements… Hook sharpness and Knot reliability.
Hook these baits through the roof of the mouth and out the top of the upper jaw, using a snelled 5/0 to 7/0 Gamakatsu Octopus J-hook for casting. For wahoo, use a No. 9 or 10 single-strand wire leader with a Gamakatsu Octopus J-hook pinned through the back, with a stinger treble hook rubber-banded to the narrow portion just ahead of the tail.
TBEX is a big travel blogging conference, which is hosted every year in a different location. There are various sessions held throughout the two days of conferences, with some of the biggest travel bloggers and experts in the field as speakers. While these are extremely interesting and there is lots to learn, the social events are what I enjoyed the most, and have convinced me to attend another future TBEX.
The Killarney National Park was the first national park of Ireland and is now a place of high ecological value because of the quality and diversity of its habitats. The Ring of Kerry is a circular tourist route that goes around all the most scenic spots of the area, including Killarney and the National Park. On the first afternoon we escaped part of the conference to explore the Killarney National Park, we might have missed some networking but it was well worth it!
It took us around an hour and a half to walk from the conference centre in Killarney to Torc Waterfall.

When rigged properly, the entire set up compacts as you launch it out. In the water, the line flows freely through the float until the bobber hits the stop, leaving the bait at the desired depth. When you start to reel in, the float slides back down toward the hook again.
One of the simplest and most basic way to catch a trout is with a jig under a cork. There are two main shapes, egg and a cigar. Both will work and have their advantages. Corks also come with and without weights- typically small brass beads. And the added weight makes it easier to cast. They come in all kinds of colors. I find it easier to see than the traditional red.
The second piece of the equation is a jig head. I cannot overstate how important it is to buy quality Jig head.

Life and works Hooke’s microscope , from an engraving in Micrographia. Much of what is known of Hooke’s early life comes from an autobiography that he commenced in but never completed. In the chapter Of Dr. Robert was the last of four children, two boys and two girls, and there was an age difference of seven years between him and the next youngest. Robert Hooke was expected to succeed in his education and join the Church.
John Hooke also was in charge of a local school, and so was able to teach Robert, at least partly at home perhaps due to the boy’s frail health. He was a Royalist and almost certainly a member of a group who went to pay their respects to Charles I when he escaped to the Isle of Wight. Robert, too, grew up to be a staunch monarchist. As a youth, Robert Hooke was fascinated by observation, mechanical works, and drawing, interests that he would pursue in various ways throughout his life.
He dismantled a brass clock and built a wooden replica that, by all accounts, worked “well enough”, and he learned to draw, making his own materials from coal, chalk and ruddle iron ore. On his father’s death in , Robert was left a sum of forty pounds that enabled him to buy an apprenticeship; with his poor health throughout his life but evident mechanical facility his father had it in mind that he might become a watchmaker or limner a decorator of illuminated manuscripts , though Hooke was also interested in painting.
Hooke was an apt student, so although he went to London to take up an apprenticeship, and studied briefly with Samuel Cowper and Peter Lely , he was soon able to enter Westminster School in London, under Dr. Hooke quickly mastered Latin and Greek, made some study of Hebrew, and mastered Euclid’s Elements.
